2022 UAW International Officer Election

2026 Election Vote Count

The vote count for the 2026 UAW International Officer Election (the “2026 Election”) began on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and will continue until complete. The vote count is governed by the Official Rules for the 2026 Election (“Election Rules”), available here (English-language version) and here (Spanish-language version), and the Vote Count Rules (available here). More information regarding the 2026 Election is available on www.uawmonitor.com/elections and more information regarding the vote count is available below.

Vote Tally Sheets

Below are links to the vote tally sheets produced by the vote counting machines during the ongoing vote count.

We will post the tally sheet for each region once the count for that region is complete, excluding challenged ballots.  Challenged ballots are ballots cast by individuals whose eligibility must still be resolved.  If necessary, they will be counted at the end of the vote count, which may change the tally for each region.  If that happens, we will post updated tally sheets below.

These tally sheets are preliminary counts from the vote counting machines.  They do not determine the outcome of any race and are not the unofficial results of the 2026 Election.  Under Election Rule 2-14, the Monitor will announce the unofficial results once the vote count is complete, and they will be posted on the Monitor’s and the UAW’s websites.  Announcement of the unofficial results does not constitute certification, which is required before the results are official.

The “Ballots Cast–Total” column shows the number of physical ballots scanned and counted for a region. The “Total Votes Cast” column shows the number of votes counted in a particular race. These numbers will often differ because a voter may vote for fewer candidates than there are positions to fill (an undervote) or for more candidates than there are positions to fill (an overvote, in which case no vote is counted in that race).  For each race, the “Total Votes Cast,” “Overvotes,” and “Undervotes” columns add up to the “Ballots Cast–Total” number multiplied by the number of positions to be filled in that race.  For example, in the race for President, where voters may vote for one candidate, the “Total Votes Cast,” “Overvotes,” and “Undervotes” columns add up to the “Ballots Cast–Total” number.  In the race for Vice President, where voters may vote for up to three candidates, the “Total Votes Cast,” “Overvotes,” and “Undervotes” columns add up to three times the “Ballots Cast–Total” number.
